Description
*Shu Dihuang* (Prepared Rehmannia Root)(熟地黄) is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb used to nourish the blood and replenish *Yin*. It is effective in alleviating symptoms such as weakness and soreness of the lower back and knees, dizziness, tinnitus, pallor, irregular menstruation, as well as sensations of heat in the palms and soles, and nocturnal sweating (excessive sweating during sleep that ceases upon waking). This medicinal material is produced by subjecting *Sheng Dihuang* (Raw Rehmannia Root) to a specialized process of steaming and sun-drying. It is primarily cultivated in regions such as Henan, Shandong, and Zhejiang; among these sources, the *Huai Dihuang* produced in Jiaozuo, Henan, is particularly highly regarded for its unctuous texture and exceptional therapeutic efficacy. When using this herb, it is important to note that *Shu Dihuang* possesses a relatively rich and cloying nature; consuming it in excessive quantities may therefore impair digestion.
