Description
*Jinqiancao* (Lysimachia christinae)(金钱草) is a Chinese medicinal herb classified as a heat-clearing and dampness-dispelling agent. It functions to facilitate urination, reduce inflammation, and promote the expulsion of gallstones; consequently, it is frequently used to treat urinary tract infections, gallstones, and skin jaundice caused by damp-heat conditions. It can also alleviate pain associated with difficult or obstructed urination. *Jinqiancao* primarily grows in regions south of the Yangtze River, with distribution across areas such as Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guangdong. Among these, the wild variety found in the Daliang Mountains of Sichuan is considered the most potent; furthermore, crushing its fresh leaves and applying them topically to the skin can help alleviate redness and swelling.
